Day 20: Sing Praise to King Jesus!

Every born again believer’s citizenship is in heaven (PHILIPPIANS 3:20). We are sojourners on this earth as ambassadors of the King of all kings — King Jesus.

Contrary to religious belief, our King does not need our worship for Himself. There is an innumerable company of angels in heaven who can do just that — always in tune, their voices never getting hoarse.

God gave us the expression of worship for our benefit.

A lot of you will notice that, in most cases, worship songs are full of grace but preachings and teachings can be un-grace-ful at times.

You see, worship engages our hearts more than our minds. Most of the time, our hearts have already accepted what our mind is still trying to grasp because human intellect, human reasoning can get in the way.

When we worship, we bring the atmosphere of heaven into the physical world. We get reminded of where we truly belong — in heaven singing praises to the Risen King – our Lord Jesus Christ.

Worship brings heaven’s atmosphere right where we are.
