Risen Life Day #20: A Life That Attracts
“…praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” — Acts 2:47 (NIV)

THE JOURNEY
Darren didn’t try to stand out.
At work, he simply did his job with integrity. He treated people with respect, stayed calm under pressure, and consistently showed kindness—even in difficult situations.
Over time, people began to notice.
Coworkers would come to him for advice.
Team members trusted him with sensitive conversations.
Even those who didn’t share his faith respected him.
One afternoon, a colleague asked him directly:
“There’s something different about you. You don’t react the way everyone else does. What is it?”
Darren paused.
He could have given a generic answer.
But instead, he said simply:
“It’s my faith. I believe Jesus is alive, and that changes how I live.”
The conversation didn’t turn into a debate.
But it opened a door.
And Darren realized something important:
He didn’t need to force influence.
It was flowing naturally from the life he lived.
Heart of the Matter
Acts 2 ends with a powerful statement:
The early believers had favor with all the people.
This didn’t mean everyone agreed with them.
It meant their lives carried a visible difference—one that drew attention, respect, and curiosity.
Their faith was not hidden.
But it was also not forced.
It was lived.
They:
• loved one another
• gave generously
• lived with joy
• walked in unity
And as a result, their lives became a testimony.
The resurrection doesn’t just change what we believe.
It changes how we live—and how others experience us.
Here is the dynamic of the Risen Life:
You love God by living in a way that reflects His character in everyday life.
Through your actions, attitudes, and responses, you make His presence visible.
He loves you back by allowing your life to influence others in ways you cannot manufacture.
Favor is not something you chase—it is something that flows from a life aligned with Him.
The early church didn’t grow because they marketed themselves well.
It grew because people saw something real.
And they were drawn to it.
Your life can become that kind of witness.
Not loud.
Not forced.
But unmistakably different.
Faith in Action
Influence begins with consistency.
The Challenge:
Choose one area today where you will intentionally reflect Christ:
• your attitude at work
• your response in a stressful moment
• your interaction with someone difficult
• your willingness to serve or help
Ask yourself:
“If someone watched me today, would they see something different?”
Write this declaration:
“My life is a reflection of the Risen Christ.”
Then live it out—quietly, consistently, authentically.
Prayer for the Day
Risen Lord, thank You that my life can be a reflection of Your presence in this world. Help me to live in a way that honors You—not just in words, but in actions, attitudes, and everyday moments. Give me wisdom in how I treat others, patience in difficult situations, and kindness that points back to You. Let my life carry a quiet influence that draws people closer to Your truth. Thank You that I don’t have to strive for recognition—You can use my life in ways I cannot see. Amen.
