Good News #308: Jesus’ Grace, Mercy and Protection for My Life – They are Fresh and Readily Available Every Day for Me to Receive!
No two days are the same. This is why the graces we need for one day is different for another.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:34 that each day has enough trouble of its own. Each day has its own trouble… not from God but from the fallenness of this world.
But God’s word tells us that His compassions, His mercies, His graces, His blessings are new every morning. He releases and makes available fresh provisions of these on a daily basis for everyone who dare take Him for His word and humble themselves enough to receive from Him.
In the gospels, Jesus teaches us to include in our prayer to The Father to give us our daily bread… not weekly, not monthly, not yearly…but daily fresh bread… not stale bread… daily.
Prayer is an act of cooperating with God… an act of yielding to Him our will to allow Him to intervene in our behalf for our needs to be met. When we do so, He honors it and we get blessed.
Trouble is certain in this fallen world… not because of God’s doing but simply because this world is under condemnation (a consequence of Adam’s disobedience)…
But the gospel is this — The sure mercies, compassions and graces of God are certain to be fresh every morning… and they are more than sufficient to cover for all our needs for the day.
It will not run out… and when the next day comes, a fresh provision from Him is made available again.
He is greatly faithful.

Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
