Good News #166: Jesus Completely Destroyed Death by Dying on the Cross; By Believing in Him and His Finished Work, Death Has No More Power Over Me!
It is not hard to recognize that this world is a fallen world… everything degenerates…
gardens left untended become overgrown with weeds…
buildings deteriorate…
things degenerate…
food spoil…
there is disintegration… deterioration… destruction… decay… in other words, death in its various phases and degrees.
It is a fallen world corrupted in state because Adam gave up man’s dominion over this earth to satan who does nothing but corrupt everything he touches…
But the destruction of the natural world only comes second to the enemy’s primary agenda which is the destruction of mankind… the death of humanity.
Nothing ever comes from the enemy but what ends in death…
Truth be told — if not for the Spirit of God restraining evil, most of us would have been dead long before we have reached the age we are at now.
God is a longsuffering God. He waits for humanity to come to Him and receive His Son and what His Son has done to ultimately save us… deliver us… redeem us from death’s grip.
And in His waiting, God continues to give us escapes from death, with or without our acknowledgment or gratitude for them…because that’s the kind of God He is…
He gives humanity chances upon chances to receive His Son Jesus… and for those who have received Him, He continues to give chances upon chances for them to enjoy what His Son has died for them to inherit in this lifetime and to draw more people to Him.
The gospel is this — Jesus has made available to us an escape from every attempt of death against us… it is an endless supply that needs only to be willingly received… He does this because He is The God of Salvation…
Whatta God we have!
Jesus is the gospel!
