Good News #109: God’s Promises and Calling for My Life are Irrevocable; They Will Come to Pass!

When man fell in the garden of Eden because of a poor exercise of free will, God did not throw a fit and took back man’s free will.

When man acted upon the lies of the serpent in the garden of Eden and forfeited dominion over the earth to the devil, God did not throw a fit and snatched away the dominion over the earth. In fact, Jesus came to legally take it back from the devil and delegate it back to humanity…specifically, to those who believe in Him.

God NEVER said that because man did not use his freewill to obey and man did not steward dominion over the earth well, that He is taking back both from mankind so that we learn to appreciate it — NO, you won’t find this in the bible.

When God gives, God gives.

Pay attention — the gift of freewill and the gift of dominion over the earth were given to mankind through Adam… yet when Adam trashed these gifts, God never took it back… Think about it… if God had taken back the gift of freewill, everyone in this world would have received Jesus, right? but not everyone does… so we know mankind still has the gift of freewill.

Now, if these gifts given to mankind through Adam are something that God did not take back… ALL THE MORE will He not take back the gifts He gave to those who believe in His own Son, Christ Jesus…

If God did not take back the gifts given through a created being (Adam)… ALL THE MORE will He not take back the gifts given through The Creator (Jesus).

Look! None of us will be able to live, act and behave perfectly in this fallen world even after being born again… but even so, none of what we do can make God go against His nature of a Gift-Giver who gives gifts irrevocably.

God’s nature…His faithfulness, graciousness, lovingkindness, righteousness, etc… is not dependent on our actions.
He is good because He is good…not because we are…because none of us are.

The gospel is this — the gifts you received through believing in Christ Jesus are irrevocable…one of His gifts is the gift of adoption… this means you are a child of the Most High permanently…and everything that is His is yours…irrevocably.
