Day 41: With Jesus on My Side, the Enemy’s Defeat is Guaranteed!

When God promised that He will cause our enemies to be defeated before us, by faith, we take that as truth. For we know and believe that we have a God who is faithful to fulfill every one of His promises!

The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

Deuteronomy 28:7

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.

Isaiah 54:17

The Lord Guarantees the Enemy’s Defeat

The best praying man is the man who is most believingly familiar with the promises of God. After all, prayer is nothing but taking God’s promises to him, and saying to him, “Do as thou hast said.” Prayer is the promise utilized. A prayer which is not based on a promise has no true foundation. ― Charles Spurgeon

At any moment we can demonstrate our faith by taking action that shows our belief in God’s promises! ― Alisa Hope Wagner

Satan wants us to focus on the problem, not the Provider. He constantly points to what seems to be rather than to what God has promised to do. If we stop spending time with the Lord in prayer, the concerns of the physical world snatch our attention and dominate us, while the spiritual senses deaden and the promises fade.

I am absolutely convinced that the number one reason that Christians today don’t pray more is because we do not grasp the connection between prayer and the promises of God. We are trying as individuals and churches to pray ‘because we’re supposed to’ without a living faith in the promises of God concerning prayer. No faith life of any significance can be maintained by this ‘ought-to’ approach. There must be faith in God at the bottom.

When real faith in God arises, a certainty comes that when we call, he will answer…that when we ask, we will receive…that when we knock, the door will be opened… ― Jim Cymbala

When you stop seeing the problem you are faced with, and start seeing the promise of God for you; that becomes a good start towards a solution to your problem. ― Gift Gugu Mona,
