Jesus is My Strength

And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent.

1 Samuel 15:29 [NKJV]

In the old testament, the Lord Jesus in His pre-incarnate form had been called The Strength of Israel. At that time, they were under the old covenant based on their obedience to the law and animal sacrifices for their disobediences to the law. Whenever they kept the law and offered sacrifices for their disobediences, they were blessed and the Lord, The Strength of Israel wrought for them victory upon victory against their enemies.

Today, because our Lord Jesus came to die for all of humanity’s disobediences and not just Israel’s, everyone who believes in Him can say this:

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

[Philippians 4:13, NKJV]

Through His sacrifice on that cross, Jesus is no longer just The Strength of one nation but has now become a personal strength for everyone who believes in Him so that they are no longer dependent on their endurance and stamina to go through life but in His Strength to carry them through life.
