Day 14: I Can Run Out of the Grave Because of Jesus!
I have a secret to tell you (if you don’t know it yet!) – we have a God who’s very much in love with His people. Because of His great love towards His own, God sent His only begotten Son, as the ransom pay, to die in the place of His people, so that by His Son’s sacrifice and death, He can redeem those who’ve been lost and dead because of their sins.
Jesus, God’s Son, took the place of certain death for everyone – so that by His once-and-for-all act on the cross, all sins are forgiven! The tomb was meant for us, because of our sins – for the wages of sin is death. But by His death, the sin debt was fully paid and fully satisfied!
This one act of Jesus changed the balance of power forever. Realize that because of Adam’s fall, all men fell; however, because of Jesus’ redemptive work on the cross, all men were saved.
A divine exchange took place on the cross because of Jesus Christ. He took man’s sin, sacrificed Himself on man’s behalf, and in return, gave man His righteousness. And the only requirement for any person willing to receive this free gift of salvation is to ask for it freely. So ask for it and receive it today!
I pray and encourage you, if you haven’t received this free gift of salvation yet, ask God to open your heart and encounter Him in a personal level. And while you’re doing just that, meditate on what He did for you, in you and through you, as you listen to the song Glorious Day by Passion ft. Kristian Stanfill.
I was buried beneath my shame
Who could carry that kind of weight?
It was my tomb
‘Til I met You
I was breathing, but not alive
All my failures I tried to hide
It was my tomb
‘Til I met You
You called my name
Then I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
You called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
Now Your mercy has saved my soul
Now Your freedom is all that I know
The old made new
Jesus, when I met You, whoa, what a day
When you called my name
And I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
You called my name
Then I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness
Into Your glorious day
I needed rescue
My sin was heavy
But chains break at the weight of Your glory
I needed shelter
I was an orphan
But You call me a citizen of Heaven
When I was broken
You were my healing
Now Your love is the air that I’m breathing
I have a future
My eyes are open
