Day 9: The Resurrected King is Resurrecting Me

Are there areas in your life gone awry that needs reviving, or maybe even dead that needs resurrecting?

How about your health, have you been struggling for a long time recovering from pain, illness and disease? How about your finances, have you been living paycheck to paycheck, working two to three jobs just to make ends meet? How about your relationships, have you forgiven and reconciled with that person who’ve caused so much hurt in your life? And how about your emotional well-being, when was the last time you felt inner peace, free of worries and anxieties?

The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

Romans 8:11

Whatever it is that needs the resurrection power of Christ in your life, know and believe that it is readily available. It is a free gift – the undeserved, unmerited favor of God – for His children. All you need to do to receive is ONLY BELIEVE!

How is this possible then? Why can God ever offer this free gift to His people? It’s all because of Jesus Christ!

Know and believe that Jesus suffered and died on the cross for you; He redeemed you from the sting of death and the curse of the law by shedding His precious blood. It costs God His beloved Son – nailed to the cross, abandoned by the Father, carrying the burden of sin – so that right now at this very moment, for Christ-believers, you can have Jesus’ resurrected life. That’s very good news indeed!

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Galatians 3:13-14

Whatever it is that’s haunting you – the failures of the past, the troubles of the present, and the uncertainties of the future – let the resurrection power of the resurrected king, Jesus Christ, flow into these areas. Allow His resurrection power to resurrect these areas!

As you meditate on this truth, let the song Resurrecting by Elevation Worship remind you of what Jesus has done for you, and what it means to be in communion with the resurrected king:
