Good News #198: Because of Jesus’ Blood, Prisoners are Freed from All the Oppressions of the Enemy Including Sickness, Poverty and Death!
In John 10:10, Jesus explicitly gave us what the devil is only capable of doing. Jesus said:
“The thief only comes to steal, kill and destroy.”

3-destroy
In other words, everything that the devil does always leads to loss, harm, hurt, pain, destruction, death…everything evil.
Nothing good ever comes from the devil.
Everything the devil does puts people under oppression.
Everything the devil does puts people in a prison of poverty, a prison of sickness, a prison of death, a prison of slavery under his evil schemes…
In Luke 4:18-19, Jesus read Isaiah’s portion and announced that He is the fulfillment of the Scripture: (emphases mine)
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To PROCLAIM LIBERTY to the captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To SET AT LIBERTY those who are oppressed,
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
Indeed, in the shedding of His blood at calvary, total freedom… total liberty… was fully paid for.
The gospel is this — There is no prison that the enemy has put you in that you cannot be set free from… may it be generational curses like genetic/hereditary diseases… poverty… failed relationships… mental oppression, etc… THE BLOOD of JESUS that cut the new covenant sets free from it all anyone who dares to believe in Jesus and what He has completely finished at the cross.
