Good News #256: God is Delighted to Prosper Me; In Return, I Glorify Him by My Prosperity and His Name Be Magnified!
Because of Jesus, I have become an heir of God’s inheritance; all that is of Jesus right now are also mine!
Jesus said in Matthew 7:11:
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”
This means God The Father exceeds all the goodness any human being does… even parents who know how to be generous to their children.
Average decent earthly parents will sacrifice their convenience, their lives, their well-being to see their children prosper in all things…
In Psalm 35, David wrote that The Lord has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant… servant… not child… and if the Lord has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant… how much more will He take pleasure in the prosperity of those who are His own children? His sons and daughters?
Galatians 3:26 says that through faith in Christ Jesus, we are children of God.
Romans 8:16 says that if we are Christ’s, The Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
Now, if The Lord delights in prospering His servants, will He not delight in doing the same to His children?
The gospel is this — In believing in Jesus and receiving what His sacrifice made available to us, we receive adoption into the kingdom of God.
God is no longer just God to us but Abba Father.
This means much more will He take pleasure in our prosperity because we are not just servants of God but children of Abba Father.

Psalm 35:27
Who favor my righteous cause;
And let them say continually,
“Let the Lord be magnified,
Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
