Good News #172: What Jesus Has Promised Over My Life Are Guaranteed For Completion and Sealed by the Holy Spirit in Me!

Esther 8:8 is part of the words spoken by the Persian king Ahasuerus pointing to the law of Persia and Media at that time, that a written decree in the king’s name and sealed with the king’s signet ring cannot be altered even by the king himself who decreed it and it must come to pass.

If the word of an earthly king has power and irrevocability, how much more the word of The King of kings and Lord of lords?

Listen, the bible is the Word of God… Jesus is The Word of God made flesh… Everything that He ever spoke has kingly power and authority…

There are so many things Jesus spoke about us who believe in Him.

Some of these are in John 3:15-18, where Jesus Himself said:
v15 — “…whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life”
v16 — “…whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
v17 — “…the world through Him might be saved.”
v18 — “…who believes in Him is not condemned…”

Jesus, The King of kings, have spoken these…His word alone is enough… yet He Himself sent the Person of the Holy Spirit to be a seal on those who believe in Him… for our sake.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 says:
Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

The gospel is this — whatever Jesus has spoken over you and about you in the written word of God is ironclad… He has even sealed it with The Holy Spirit.

This gives us no excuse to doubt that what His word says about us who believe in Him — being eternally saved, eternally redeemed, eternally sons and daughter of God, eternally past judgment, eternally co-heirs with Him and many more — is true, faithful and forever binding.

We have a powerful God!
His word stands forever.
