Good News #132: Jesus Understands and Cares What I Am Going Through; He Helps Me Get Through Them!

All religion… including religious “Christianity” have this in common — a higher being only concerned that mankind does this and does that… a distant higher being who cannot relate with the whole gamut of human emotions.

The true God of the bible is not distant; He understands our griefs and have compassion towards us more than we give Him credit for.

No one understands humanity and its needs better than God Himself because He created us and He created us dependent on His breath of life.

God never meant for anyone to die. Death was never part of His plan.

But we all know the story — Adam fell and all creation fell. Sin cut us off from God. This pained God because man’s separation meant man suffering and dying…

Look, when Satan and the rest fell, God did not send His Son to save them…
2 Peter 2:4 says God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment…

Yet when man fell, immediately God set His redemption plan into motion, speaking of His Son coming to save and redeem humanity…
Genesis 3:15, God, speaking to the serpent, said:
“And I will put enmity between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed.
He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.”

GOD LOVES HUMANITY…He is hurt when we are hurt.

Jesus wept because like The Father, the pain of separation cuts Him. He was there at the beginning… and He saw how man’s separation from God brought about all the sicknesses, diseases, destructions and death.

Jesus wasn’t crying for Himself, He wept for humanity.

The gospel is this — When we are afflicted, God is afflicted. The Father and The Son are One. His Son endured all manners of rejection, separation and even death itself so that at the right hand of the Father right now is a heart that understands all the depths of human weaknesses and sympathies…and He uses His power to help humanity out of our predicament…

Humanity is dead in our sins but just like Lazarus, Jesus calls us out of death into life… eternal life in Him, never to be separated from God ever…
Whatta God we have!
