Good News #111: Jesus Christ is the Power of God for the Salvation of Everyone Who Believes!

Suppose something truly good for you is placed right before you for the taking…
Nothing is asked from you other than you believe that it is good for you and you taking it…

If you don’t believe that it is good for you, you will never reach out and take it…
and as a result, you will never experience the good that it will do for you…

This is how the gospel works.

Romans 1:16 tells us that the gospel (the good news) is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.

Our belief and our unbelief are both an exercise of the gift of freewill given to us by God Himself.
We use our freewill to either believe or not believe.
God is never going to violate our freewill. He respects the freewill that He gave us.

When we believe in the gospel of Christ, we essentially allow God to do for us what we can never do for ourselves… like redemption from sicknesses and diseases… like getting out of poverty and staying out of it without having to deal fraudulently… like strengthening our relationships without manipulations…

Unbelief limits the workings of the power of God because He will never force His grace upon anyone. God respects our freewill… our free choice.

Jesus Himself puts it this way in Matthew 8:13…
“…as you have believed, so let it be done for you.”

To the degree that we believe His extravagantly good news, we experience its manifestation in our life.
The more you believe, the more you experience…

The gospel is this — the gospel of Christ is good news and it is good for you. It only needs to be believed in and received for its workings to effectively run its course in your life.

Whatta gospel we have in Jesus!
Indeed, His yoke is easy and His burden is light!

For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.
