Good News #75: God is an Enemy to My Enemies; He is an Adversary to My Adversaries!

When Adam decided to listen to and act on the serpent’s counsel, Adam essentially committed an act of treason and made an alliance with the serpent…essentially making himself an enemy of God.

And because all of humanity came from Adam, all of humanity were born sinners…essentially, enemies of God.

And God would have still been just and righteous in leaving us all alone in our cursed state and burn in hell.

Make no mistake. As real as heaven is, so is hell.

Jesus Himself said thrice, in the gospel of Mark, that hell is where:
“Their worm does not die
And the fire is not quenched.”

Contrary to how the world depicts it, hell is not a party and it’s where all humanity is bound to the moment we were born into this world.

But praise God for how wonderful He is!
Praise God for who He is, not willing that anyone should perish, because He did what was needed to reconcile us to Him through Jesus.

2 Corinthians 5:19 says…
…God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

God Himself reconciled sinful humanity to Himself by sending His Son Jesus to be The Man standing in the gap between a perfectly holy God and a perfectly unholy sinful humanity…Jesus made Himself The Way.

Now, everyone who believes in Jesus has been fully reconciled back to God.
Everyone who believes in Jesus is no longer an enemy to God.
In fact, everyone who believes in Jesus is now a child of God…a son or a daughter of the Most High.

The gospel is this — As a child of God, God is never against you. He is for you.
And your enemies (the devil, death, all of hell and its works like sicknesses, diseases, poverty, strife, stress, etc) are His enemies. He fights for you.

Whatta God we have!
Whatta truly wonderful, extravagantly amazing God we have!

But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.
