Good News #41: The Free Gifts of God in My Life Are For the Joy of My Heart!

As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God. For he will not dwell unduly on the days of his life, because God keeps him busy with the joy of his heart.

Ecclesiastes 5:19-20

Religion teaches that God gives His children suffering to test their faith and to keep them humble.

This is NOT what the bible teaches.

In fact, Jesus came because noone… not one man can remain steadfast and faithful to God. Jesus is the only Man who did and who will ever do. Anyone who believes in Jesus lives by His faith.

One of the many things that Jesus did when He still physically walked the earth was to reveal the Father’s heart of God which noone in the past before Him can reveal because no servant can reveal what only a Son knows.

In Matthew 7:11, Jesus said…
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”

Look, as good as any earthly fathers are, none (not even all combined) can even come close to the goodness of God The Father.

And Jesus is saying that if earthly fathers, born sinners with a fallen nature, want what is good for their children… would even work two jobs to provide warm meals and send their children to the best schools they can afford… how much more will God The Father, who has no evil in Him, provide for His children every best thing they can have?

If decent earthly fathers cannot bear to see their children getting sick, how dare any of us accuse God The Father of giving anyone sickness so they would turn back to Him?

If decent earthly fathers cannot bear to see their children go hungry and deprived of things, how dare any of us accuse God the Father of giving anyone poverty to humble them?

This is the gospel — that anyone who believes in Jesus becomes a child of God and God becomes a Father to him/her.

As Father, God wants to keep His children busy with what makes them wholly joyful.

Whatta God we have!
