Good News #22: God is For Me and Never Against Me, No Ifs and Buts!

The gospel started getting manifested when Jesus came as Man in sinless flesh. Jesus came NOT because humanity altogether asked for Him to come. No.

Jesus came because right from the start, God HAD ALWAYS BEEN FOR US. He came because God SO LOVE US.

Psalm 8:4-6 rightly asks…
What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,

God was, is and always will be for humanity, whether we are for Him or not because God loves us and it isn’t a warm, fuzzy feeling kind of mushy love. No. It is a tough, responsible sacrificial love for humanity of which some would reject. Yet, His Son Jesus came for both those who may accept and those who may reject.

He did not wait for us to get our acts together before He came.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:31

If God sent Jesus while we were sinners…
If Jesus died for us while we were sinners…
Then God is for us…
Then God is never against us…
Then God is in our corner…always for us…

This is the gospel — God being for us is not contingent upon us and what we do. God is for us. Period. No ifs.. No whens… No buts…

Whatta God we have!
Whatta Saviour we have in Jesus!!!
