Good News #360: With Jesus as My Rock, I Will Not Be Left on My Own to Fight Against My Enemies – He Conquers and Defeats Them For Me!
Ephesians 6:12 tells us that our war is not against people but against spiritual enemies — enemies of God Himself.
Now, because our real enemies exist in the spiritual realm (the realm that we do not see with our naked eyes but is, in reality, very real and more real than the physical realm), most people, even us born-again believers, don’t even know where to begin on fighting against these spiritual enemies.
As a matter of fact, none of us were born into this world knowing how to fight our spiritual enemies because, as another matter of fact, we were all born into this world as a slave to the ruler of this world (the devil) because of what Adam and Eve did in the garden of Eden.
But praise God for His relentless steadfast love for humanity that He did not give up on us despite mankind transgressing against Him… praise God that He worked through His Son in pursuing all of us humanity and then teaching us in His ways and training us up on how to fight our spiritual enemies.
If we study the bible closely, we will find that it is, in fact, also a divine blueprint of spiritual warfare… and in the pages of the Bible, The Lord Jesus, who is The Word of God Himself, instructs us, teaches us, trains us in warfare against our spiritual enemies.
The gospel is this — Jesus is our Commanding Officer. He fights our battles for us and instructs and trains us in warfare against our spiritual enemies to strengthen us and ensure we are not caught off guard… to help us keep our victory in this present life.
Jesus is the gospel.
