Good News #354: Because I Have Jesus and He is in Me, I Shall Never Lack Anything, and I Am Richly Blessed!

It is crazy how some churches have made poverty a pillar of supposed “holiness” in their doctrine as if God wants His own people… His own children living in lack.

Jesus came to show us what a wonderful loving Father our God is…

In Matthew 7, Jesus said:
“… what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!”

Can you imagine standing in front of Jesus and telling Jesus that He is wrong? and that His Father wants us to be stuck in a vow of poverty because it is a sign of holiness?

It is utterly absurd, right? Who are we to come against The Son of God Himself, who knows His own Father?

Yet this is how it is with churches today — they come against the very word of Jesus about His Father.

It’s time to wash our minds with the blood of Jesus and get it right side up again.

The gospel is this — God is a good good God.
God is a Good, Good Father.
He never wants any of His children to be living in lack… in poverty.
He is a loving Father who makes everything that He has available to His children.
