Good News #343: Jesus is My Mediator to the Father; I Do Not Need Anyone or Anything Else (Alive or Dead) to Access the Heavenly Father But Only Him!

Things are already as confusing as they are in this fallen world. There are a hundred different things to make decisions about every day.

Our loving God knows we certainly don’t need one more confusion about who to pray to for our needs, so He made it so simple — He ordained only One Mediator of the new covenant — His Name is Jesus.

Jesus, Himself said, “Noone comes to the Father except through Me.” (see John 14:6)

And Jesus did not make Himself unapproachable that one has to go through other people to come to Him…

Jesus, Himself said, in many different accounts, but here are a few:
“Come to Me…” (see Matthew 11:28)
“Don’t forbid them to come to Me…” (see Matthew 19:14)
“…he who comes to Me will not be hungry…” (see John 6:35)
“…whoever comes to Me I will never drive away.” (see John 6:37)

Our God wants a relationship with His own.
Our God delights when we talk to Him directly.
Our God delights when we actually enjoy going to Him directly and not acting like He is a distant Father.
Our God is One — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are One.
Our God ordained that we only have One Mediator who is One with Him.

The gospel is this — Our God is not the author of confusion… and He is All-Sufficient.
All that we ever need is in Him… there is no need to go to different avenues to get specific needs met.
There is only One Mediator of the new covenant.
There is only One Way to get to God, The Father Himself, for your needs.
His Name is Jesus… and He says to you to come to Him…
He will never fail you.

And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
