Good News #333: Only Through Jesus That My Life Can Change for the Best; I Will Call for His Help to Turn My Life Around, and He is More Than Willing to Do So!
The reality of this world is that none of us, on our own, can truly have true life… All of us are born into a world where the default setting is survival mode. We have specific areas in life where we struggle more than others… but the reality is that everyone is in survival mode, just in different areas.
And on our own, we may find temporary stability in specific areas, yet we find such instability in other areas that when we look at our lives as a whole, it is still in survival mode… the stability or success in certain areas are not able to compensate for the instability or failure in other areas.
And the truth of the matter is that this is exhausting, yet we, human beings, adapt to it, and so this is the state most of us find ourselves in because this is the only pattern of life that the world offers…
This is why Jesus came… to give us an option that wasn’t there at the beginning of man’s life after Adam and Eve fell in the garden. He came that we may have life… true life… and that we have it abundantly.
When we turn over our lives to Jesus and let Him be Lord and Saviour of it, He turns our wildernesses and dry places… the dead places of our lives, into places teeming with life… abundant life… a life that does not only satiate us but also bless others.
The gospel is this — we need not get stuck in desperation and survival in this present life.
Jesus, who is Life Himself, came to make life available to us.
It is really up to us to receive Him and Who He is.
And when we do — He turns our dead places around into places of life and life more abundant.
