Day 19: I Am Assured That My God is With Me, Always Loving and Caring For Me – All Because of Jesus!
The Lord tabernacling among us means The Lord dwelling with us.
To give us an idea of what the Lord tabernacling with us means, we can look to the last verses of Exodus right after the tabernacle that the Lord instructed Moses to build was finally completed.
Exodus 40:
34 Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
35 And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
36 Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would go onward in all their journeys.
37 But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up.
38 For the cloud of the Lord was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
This means one of the primary things that we can enjoy when the Lord tabernacles with us is that He guides us and directs us in our ongoings in life. He directs us to where the provisions are. He guides us away from the enemy.
Furthermore, He protects us from the natural circumstances that are harmful to us. Notice He appears as a cloud by day and fire by night.
He appears as a cloud to protect the children of Israel from the stroke-inducing heat of the desert wilderness to keep them cool during the day and then as temperatures in the desert drops to freezing during the night, He becomes the fire to keep them warm.
This is just one of the many things the children of Israel enjoyed as the Lord tabernacled with them…in the old covenant.
Today, you and I who live in the new covenant, a better covenant, enjoys more than all of what the children of Israel enjoyed in the old. This means, among other things, that even when the global economy crashes, we enjoy prosperity. Even when world health declines, we enjoy divine health and wholeness….and much more.
