Day 15: I Shall Be Protected from My Enemies and They Shall Not Harm Me – All Because of Jesus!

You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you.

Leviticus 26:7

Because we live in a fallen world, it is no surprise that the enemy (spiritual powers of darkness) still roams around. These are defeated foes who have been disarmed and disempowered by Jesus through His death on the cross.

The Resurrected Jesus said in Matthew 28:18, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” This means the devil has zero authority at all.

This means the devil and his minions are squatters in this world. They don’t belong here, yet they take illegal residence where they can but praise God for Jesus who has empowered us with the authority of His name to drive out the enemy. We can chase enemies out with a word in Jesus’ name and let the sword of the Spirit cut them down.
