Day 14: I Shall Receive Peace in the Land, and None Shall Make Me Afraid – All Because of Jesus!
Peace in Hebrew is Shalom שלום , a word that carries with it the idea of completeness, safety, soundness (in body), welfare, health, prosperity, peace, quiet, tranquility, contentment, peace used of human relationships, peace with God especially in our covenant relationship and peace from war.
This is the shalom peace that God is promising in here. True peace comes from the Lord.
A lot of the things that rob us of peace come from the enemy, his lies and deception. Jesus said in John 10:10 that the enemy only comes to steal, kill and destroy but that He (Jesus) came to give us life and life more abundantly.
The Lord promised to rid your life of the enemy so that you will have peace, rest and quietness, living unafraid. You only need to let Him do so.
