Day 8: People of the Earth Shall See that I Am Called by the Name of the Lord – All Because of Jesus!

Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.

Deuteronomy 28:10

Most people think that being a christian only provides someone salvation from hell and blessings that cannot be seen or touched.

This is not what the bible tells us.

Here it says that the peoples of the earth shall SEE. This means that there is actual physical manifestation of the blessings that had started off in the spiritual and comes through manifesting in the natural in terms of divine health, well-being, unusual favor, prosperity, success in careers, businesses, studies, relationships and in whatever endeavour is undertaken.

Our Lord Jesus is a very practical God. He came to be One like us but in sinless flesh. He knows what we need. He also knows what we want and He provides both. Psalm 23 starts off with The Lord is my shepherd. I shall never be in want. In other words, we will never suffer lack in Him. He provides not just our needs but our wants as well.

And as He moved around with sinful humanity, He knows that to practically draw people to Himself, the ungodly has first to see in their eyes that He is a truly wonderful, faithful, loving and giving God who never leaves His people in lack.

The book of Romans says the goodness of God leads people to repentance. He blesses the lives of His children to show those who are not yet His children what it is like to be in Him.

The Lord will establish His covenant with His children and all peoples of the earth shall SEE it, that they are indeed His children and not sons of this world.
