Day 32: The Cross of Jesus Gives Refuge, Safety and Protection to His People!

In Jesus Christ on the Cross there is refuge; there is safety; there is shelter; and all the power of sin upon our track cannot reach us when we have taken shelter under the Cross that atones for our sins.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

EPHESIANS 2:4-8

Jesus is Our Secret Dwelling Place – the Place of Protection

After a hard day scrambling to find your way around in the world, it’s assuring to come home to a place you know. God can be equally familiar to you. With time you can learn where to go for nourishment, where to hide for protection , where to turn for guidance. Just as your earthly house is a place of refuge, so God’s house is a place of peace. – Max Lucado

We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God is protected by Him, and the evil one does not touch him. – 1 John 5:18

Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; ‘Tis grace has brought me safe thus far and grace will lead me home. – John Newton

God’s angels often protect his servants from potential enemies. – Billy Graham

He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him alright. – Blaise Pascal

If the Lord be with us, we have no cause of fear. His eye is upon us, His arm over us, His ear open to our prayer – His grace sufficient, His promise unchangeable. – John Newton

Beloved, I say, let your fears go, lest they make you fainthearted. Stop inspiring fear in those around you and now take your stand in faith. God has been good and He will continue to manifest His goodness. Let us approach these days expecting to see the goodness of the Lord manifest. Let us be strong and of good courage, for the Lord will fight for us if we stand in faith. – Francis Frangipane
