Jesus is My Source of Success!

The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man…

Genesis 39:2 [NKJV]

So the Lord was with Joshua, and his fame spread throughout all the country.

Joshua 6:27 [NKJV]

The Lord was with him; he prospered wherever he went…

2 Kings 18:7 [NKJV]

So David went on and became great, and the Lord of hosts was with him.

1 Chronicles 11:9 [NKJV]

The presence of the Lord is highly coveted in the old covenant because with whomever the Lord is, success, prosperity, greatness and goodness abides or as the psalmist puts it in Psalm 23:6 — “Surely goodness and mercy shall pursue”.

In the new covenant, everyone who believes in Jesus receives His very own Holy Spirit of whom Jesus refers to as “another Helper” like Himself who will abide in them forever. (John 14:16)

Jesus goes on to say that The Holy Spirit will teach all things, and bring to remembrance all things Jesus said (John 14:26) and that the Holy Spirit will guide into all truth and will even tell of things to come (John 16:13).

In the new covenant, a believer is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16) who is the abiding presence of our Lord Jesus.

If in the old covenant, people of whom The Lord is experiences great successes and prosperity, how much more will everyone who believes in Jesus and have been made a child of God experience supernatural successes and prosperity in everything they do?

Today, let’s learn to cultivate the presence of God asking the Holy Spirit for wisdom and guidance on everything.
