Jesus is My Anchor!

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil.

Hebrews 6:19 [NKJV]

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:2 [NKJV]

While we are in this world, it is easy to get dismayed, fearful and anxious when we look around to the natural circumstances but the bible never teaches us to look around, not even to ourselves for strength and hope.

The Bible teaches to LOOK to Jesus, to FIX our eyes on Jesus, to FOCUS on Jesus because it is when we keep our eyes on Him do we find stability and unshakability.

In this pandemic, we follow government mandates and health department’s protocols because the bible teaches to respect those who rule amongst us but we look to Jesus as our Protection (Psalm 91) and our Healer. (Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24)

In an economic meltdown, we diligently do our jobs as unto the Lord and not of men (Colossians 3:23-24) knowing that while we work amongst men, it is the Lord who provides us the increase and blesses the work of our hands.

Today, despite what is happening around, let’s all fix our eyes unto Jesus who will make sure we are blessed, provided for, kept safe, healthy and protected despite what is happening around. Jesus anchors us and not let’s us be tossed to and fro in the waves of this world.
