By Jesus’ Stripes, You Have Been Healed! #promisekeeper

When Isaiah wrote the verses below in Isaiah 53:4-5, he was prophesying what The Messiah was going to do for His people.

Surely He has borne our sicknesses
And carried our pains;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

We see this fulfilled in the body of our Lord Jesus when He was scourged before He was led to the cross. It was in the beating and the scourging of our Lord Jesus Christ that every sickness, every disease, every virus, every bacteria, every form of decay and sting of death was placed on the body of our Lord so that we can walk in His divine health, right at this very moment, right now!

Matthew and Peter echoed Isaiah’s scriptures in the New Testament.

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses.”

Matthew 8:17

who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness–by whose stripes you were healed.

1 Peter 2:24

Today, because you believe in Jesus, reckon yourselves dead to sin because your old self died with Jesus and with your old self, your sicknesses and infirmities died with it. You have been healed and walk in Jesus’ divine health, if you believe in Him.
