Day 19: God Loves Me as Much as He Loves Jesus!

Most Christians know that God loves them but they don’t realize that God loves them the way He loves Jesus. They only believe that God loves them just as God loves everyone else.

For God so loves the world that He gave His Only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

One thing Christians don’t realize is that the moment they believe in the resurrected Jesus, they have been separated from the world. They have been born again which means that they have a brand new spirit, they are new creations, which is why in His prayer the night before He died on the cross, Jesus said that the ones who believe in Him are in this world but not of this world.

In that same prayer in John 17, Jesus clearly made a distinction that those who believe in Him receives a higher form of love than that of God towards the world which is that of God towards His only begotten Son.

Jesus said that God loves the ones who believe in Jesus as God loves Jesus.
Every born again believer is not just loved by The Creator God but they are loved by God The Father. A Creator’s love towards a created being cannot compare to a Father’s love towards His own child.

“I in them, and You in Me, that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and HAVE LOVED THEM AS YOU HAVE LOVED ME.”

John 17:23

Today, born again believers, know that you don’t receive a generic kind of love from God. Rather, He looks at you and He sees Jesus. He sees His Son. As God The Father loves Jesus so He loves you because you are in Jesus.
