Day 14: In Christ Jesus, I Have Been Chosen and Appointed to Bear Fruit

This is a pretty simple declaration that we are special as we have been chosen by God. What does it mean to be appointed to bear fruit, though? That’s easy. It means to be an example to everyone else as a representative of God here on earth. It is much easier for the unbelievers and people wavering in faith to say “God is real and He is truly good” if they see how godly you are as a person. This means being happy a lot, no matter the circumstance. You can always find the good in anything. This means being helpful. There’s always a respectful way you can be helpful. Having a positive attitude helps a lot too. You never know who might be affected by your actions and who is watching. Just because of your awesome mood, you would have made another person’s day much better.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

John 15: 4, 8

If you’re bearing good fruit (by being a good example), people will be more likely to reach out and see what is causing the good fruit. And before you know it, they just became saved because of the actions you have done. Now it doesn’t say that it is easy being a representative of God. Nobody is perfect except Jesus. But that doesn’t mean you should just give up. Let God flow through you. Have an open communication with him. It becomes less tiring to be like God if you are always with Him. Remember, people are easily and mainly influenced by the things around them. It’s just how nature is. Surround yourself with godly people and that will make things easier. But the most important thing is to have a relationship with God because if there are circumstances happening in our lives, then He will be able help in due time.
