Day 12: I Am Loved, Celebrated and Cared For

The world is hungry for acceptance and approval from others. People accumulate things to impress people who never really cares much about everyone else because they are also accumulating things to impress the people who are trying to impress them.

Yet the Bible tells us of God, the Most Powerful Being, who, for some reason we may never fully understand on this side of heaven and unto eternity, is absolutely, passionately, and madly in love with us. Proof to this: He willingly, on His own, put Himself in a position where He would hurt the most just to bring humanity back to Him to enjoy eternal life – the life He enjoys. He allowed Himself to suffer by sending His Son to die the death that humanity deserves to die. He gave up heaven’s best to die a shameful death so He can shamelessly display His love for humanity who doesn’t deserve His love and yet He freely gave to.

His Son Jesus who is one with the Father also freely gave His life to rescue humanity from the slavery of sin and death. Now everyone who believes in Him does not only enjoy what God had already provided humanity who transgressed Him, everyone who believes in Jesus receives the position of being carried through by the Good Shepherd who looked for the one last lamb whom He lays on His shoulder and rejoiced and partied with friends and neighbors.

And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
And when he has come home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!'”

Luke 15:5

And as the sheep abides in the Good Shepherd, the sheep enjoys abundance of provision, refreshment and well-being and protection.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not be found lacking.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

Today, be established in the truth that as a child of God, you have a Good Shepherd who never leaves you nor forsakes you and will walk with you wherever you go to guide, lead and rescue you when you walk astray.
