Day 11: I Am No Longer Who I Was Before Jesus, For I Am Now a New Creation

There are born again Christians who do not understand the reality that they are no longer who they were before they believed in Jesus — that they have been born again, that they are new creations, cut off from the lineage of Adam and grafted into the lineage of Jesus.

Because they feel the same, look the same, sound the same, they think that what they have received in Christ Jesus is only the opportunity of being in heaven in the after-life. The truth is it is much more than that.

The moment anyone believes in Jesus, their dying spirit bound for hell is taken from them and replaced with a brand-new spirit with the essence of the eternal life, meaning the life that God has. In other words, the life that God enjoys, born again believers have the same privilege of enjoying because they have been made children of God in Christ Jesus. This is why John wrote in 1 John 4:17 “as He (Jesus) is, so are we in this world” because the life that Jesus enjoys at present time is what has been bestowed on the children of God.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Today, know that because you believe in Jesus, you have the privilege of living His life by believing and declaring the words of life that He has given us in the Bible. Don’t accept the things happening in your life that Jesus has already redeemed you from.

For instance, if you experience lying symptoms in your body, declare and believe: “By His stripes, I have been healed.” In the midst of lack in the physical world, declare and believe: “Because I am in Jesus, I lack nothing. Everything that my hand does will prosper in Jesus’.”
