Day 1: Christ Lives in Me
Throughout the ages, and since the time of Christ 2000 years ago, there have been many interpretations of the Bible and with that came many false interpretations of said Bible. One of these false interpretations within believers is that they do not know what believing in Jesus has bestowed upon them and what power they possess within themselves. In Galatians 2:20, it says that Christ lives in you.
This verse, although simple, indicates that He (the risen Christ) is within every believer. Knowing this, there is no need to be afraid of doing anything anymore. This truth should empower us to be trailblazers in God’s kingdom, all for His glory!
Now this should not mean that you just go about and do whatever without a care in the world. That is nonsense. Christ living within you means that you also have the wisdom of the Lord, meaning you will know if what you are to do is stupid or not. Like you wouldn’t jump off a building (if indeed you need to jump) without any protective gear, or you will still surely die. But more normal things that have a tendency to be dangerous like driving a car, you should not fear this. The power of God Himself is within you and whatever problem, circumstance or situation confronting you, know and believe that God has overcome them all; and also know that He who is in you is greater that the one (the enemy) who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Knowing this means with the proper wisdom, you shouldn’t be afraid to tackle everyday problems. In fact it would be best to enjoy the things you’re doing. Be thankful in the little things that you do, it will make a huge difference.
Going to brush your teeth, eating some food, driving to work, driving to school, reading a book, talking with a friend or neighbor, typing on the computer, scrolling through your phone. Be thankful for every little detail, and it’s going to make your life better. Why shouldn’t you be thankful and happy in your life, knowing God is within you and you have His power. Being happy and thankful should be the next logical step after knowing such simple yet powerful truth.
