Day 4: Victory in God Knows No Age

“And now, behold, the Lord has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the Lord spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old.
As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in.
Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said.”
And Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as an inheritance.
Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel.

JOSHUA 14:10-14

No army enlists eighty-five year olds to war. Armies have age restrictions.

Not in God’s army though. You can be a teenager like David, defeat Goliath (a giant) and lead the children of Israel to victory against the Philistine army if you stand on the covenant of God.

Or you can be eighty-five like Caleb and lead an army to victory against an army of giants (the Anakims were giants) if you stand on the spoken blessing of God (God spoke a blessing over Caleb in Numbers 14:24).

Age doesn’t matter with God. Faith does. When we stand on what God has spoken over our lives and take His word for it, no matter what the natural circumstances may look like, we inherit what He has already given to us. We gain victory over giants that we can never defeat in the natural.

Reflection Question:

Are there areas in your life where it seems like a giant is sitting over the blessing on it? It could be your health, your marriage, your finances.

Do you know that these giants are no match to what God had already spoken over that area? You only need to participate in what God had spoken over it.

Radical Faith in Action:

Find out from the Bible what God has decreed over your area of frustration and declare what God had declared over it. Let your words and actions agree with what God had spoken over it and watch how those giants get defeated before your face in Jesus’ name.

For instance, declare over your health: “For by Jesus’ stripes I am already healed!”

Declare over your finances: “For my God shall supply all my needs according to the richness of His glory!”
