Day 16: There is Power in the Name of Jesus to Break Every Chain

As lockdowns are imposed, the world is suddenly feeling like a virtual prison for most as humanity is forced to stay in one place.

In the physical, there doesn’t seem to be any difference between a believer and a non-believer.

However, a child of God, while physically confined, lives in a state of liberty because the Spirit of liberty is in them.

And because this is so, every born again believer carries a sure hope that soon the foundations of this pandemic prison will be shaken, doors will be opened and chains will be loosed.

Such case literally happened to two men – Paul and Silas – who were both in prison and in chains with other prisoners but experienced the shaking of prison foundations, the flinging of doors and everyone, not just both of them, being loosed from their chains.

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.

Acts 16:25-26

Guess what preceded this event?

Paul and Silas praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners listening to them.

You see, the freedom Jesus already paid for by His blood for every born again child to have gets manifested into the physical through prayer and worship.

In this season of confinement, we will choose to lift up our voices in praise to The One who has set us free and to The One who has the power to break every chain in His name – our Lord JESUS CHRIST!

Join us as we do that to the tune of Break Every Chain by Jesus Culture and be in hopeful expectation that chains are broken – chains of isolation, depression, fear, anxiety, stress and sicknesses.

There is power in the name of Jesus
To break every chain, break every chain, break every chain

All sufficient sacrifice
So freely given
Such a price
Bought our redemption
Heaven’s gates swing wide

There is power in the name of Jesus
To break every chain, break every chain, break every chain

There’s an army rising up
To break every chain
There is power in the name of Jesus
To break every chain
