Day 1: Raise a Hallelujah!
Breaking News: there will be obstacles in life, for we are still living in a fallen world. Life’s not always a bed of roses; and sometimes, life throws a curve ball that wrecks even the best laid plans. Instead of focusing much on the obstacle(s), constantly be assured by what the Bible says:
Continue to hold on to this promise and keep going, day in and day out, despite any turbulence being experienced. For know that our God is bigger than any and all obstacles we are facing. And in the midst of the storm, look to Jesus – worship Him, call for His help and trust in Him – because He is willing to help and He is able to calm the storm:
Instead of wallowing in your own problems, why not lift up the situation to God? Be encouraged: just as God’s people in the time of King Jehoshaphat were faced with a vast army far outnumbering them, God made a promise, which we can also receive today:
While waiting for the battle to be over – in the presence of the enemies, in the midst of the storm – may I suggest: pray, worship, be part of a community and surround yourself with like-minded Christ-believers. And may I suggest one more thing: for this song, Raise a Hallelujah by Bethel Music, to be a part of your worship repertoire as this song captures the very essence of what we’ve been discussing here.
I raise a hallelujah, in the presence of my enemies
I raise a hallelujah, louder than the unbelief
I raise a hallelujah, my weapon is a melody
I raise a hallelujah, Heaven comes to fight for me
I’m gonna sing, in the middle of the storm
Louder and louder, you’re gonna hear my praises roar
Up from the ashes, hope will arise
Death is defeated, the King is alive
I raise a hallelujah, with everything inside of me
I raise a hallelujah, I will watch the darkness flee
I raise a hallelujah, in the middle of the mystery
I raise a hallelujah, fear you lost your hold on me
