Day 6: My God is Far Above the Enemy. I Rebuke You, Coronavirus, in Jesus’ Name!

Jesus is far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

Ephesians 1:21 (NKJV)

Did you know that Jesus has already disarmed the rulers and authorities through His nailing to the cross? By His finished and perfect work on the cross, He made a spectacle of them (all enemies of God) – by triumphing over them (Col 2:15).

Did you also know, that since the cross, Jesus – now seated at the right hand of the Father, is awaiting for His enemies to be made a footstool at His feet? (Hebrews 10:13) The fight is over; the victory is already won!

Why then is this important to know for us Christ-believers? The answer is the foundation for our claim to victory in this battle: Because when God raised Jesus from the dead, God also raised us up with Christ; now, we are also seated with Him in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:6).

Since the enemy is already defeated and destroyed, what should our posture be as heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ in this victory?

• Be wise in all our actions: by putting on the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16), let us be guided by the Holy Spirit and continue to do what is right to minimize and limit the ill-effects of the coronavirus in the physical realm.

• Be at peace: although trouble abounds in this world, we are to realize, even in the midst of the storm, that Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33).

• Be strong in the Lord: by utilizing the full armor of God, we are to take our stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:10); we use our authority to tread over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19); and declare our victory, through Jesus’ victory, over this situation (1 John 5:4).

Prayer for Today:

I praise you God for the victory that You’ve already given me, through what Jesus did on the cross. Because You’ve seated me with Christ, far above all the power of the enemy, I have the authority to tread over them, even including this coronavirus. I thank You for Jesus and His finished work on the cross as I declare: The blood of Jesus is efficacious to protect me and my family against the devil’s schemes. I rebuke you, coronavirus, in Jesus’ Name!

Faith in Action:

1) Meditate on the truth that as a Christ-believer, and because Jesus is in you, you have been given authority to overcome all principality, power, might and dominion. Realize that the devil is a defeated foe. All throughout today, and every day, declare as often as you possibly can:

My God is far above the enemy. I rebuke you, coronavirus, in Jesus’ Name!

2) Invite other Christ-believers to do the 21-Day Challenge. Let us build an army of well-abled and spiritually-ready soldiers in this battle. The more spiritual soldiers we have, the faster the victory manifests in the physical realm. #21daystovictory
